The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) tab provides designated team members with a summary of the case investigation, and access to records of each case review the team has conducted for the case.
The information is separated into the following sections: “Referral,” “MDT Coordinator” “Investigation Summary”, “MDT Meeting Results” and the “Document Upload”.
The Save and Cancel buttons for the tab are located in the header above the active page. You must select “Save” to save information entered into each section to the case record.
NOTE: Users with “View” privileges can only view the information on the page, however, text boxes and pick list options are disabled.
The MDT tab is divided into the following sections:
Referral
The “Referral” section is used to record which agency and personnel requested the MDT case review.
STEP 1: Enter Date
Start by entering the date the case was first identified as one that the MDT will review in the “Date” field.
Figure 1. “Date” field in the Referral section
STEP 2: Enter the Referral Source
Select the agency and person that identified this case as one that the team will review.
NOTE: Some CACs review all cases so the agency that referred the case to the CAC for the forensic interview and other services is the agency that is identified here. Some CACs only review cases that meet certain criteria, for example, they may only review cases where the alleged victim discloses abuse during the forensic interview. In this case, the agency is the agency/person who conducted the interview.
Select the agency that made the referral from the “Referral Source” drop down list. To add a new Agency, click on the “Add” button next to the Referral Source field.

The CAC will create a list of meeting types based on the different meetings scheduled for review of cases. Some have more than one multi-disciplinary team so they will have a list that names each team. Others conduct case review meetings for different reasons (other than the full MDT case review) such as peer review, clinical review, etc.
STEP 5: Indicate if Case is Ready for MDT Review
Check this box to indicate that the MDT process has proceeded to the point that the case is ready for a team review.
