The Case Search feature provides designated team members with the ability to search for cases by several identifying pieces of information.
Click on the “Search” dropdown arrow on the left-hand side menu in NCAtrak and click on “Case”.

NOTE: Your access to case/people data is determined by the Case/People Access privileges granted to you by your CAC’s NCAtrak Security Officer. A message will display at the top of the page telling you if your access is limited in any way. Contact your local CAC Security Officer if you need assistance.
Search by Case Number the Case Search Tab
Enter the case number in the appropriate case number field that you want to use for your search. For example, a CAC case number in the field “1. CAC Case Number” or a CPS case number in the “2. CPS Case Number” field, etc.
Click on “Search” at the top of the page.
Figure 2. Search Case data fields
Search results will be displayed in a grid at the bottom of the fields.
Figure 3. Search results table
NOTE: The search is not case-sensitive. For example, entering prosecution case number “pa-01256” will find “PA-01256” as well as “Pa-01256” or “pa-01256”. But spaces and other characters embedded within the number must be entered exactly to be found. For example, a CPS case number “TN 55549” will not be found if you enter “TN55549.”
Search by a Range of CAC Receipt Dates
Instead of using case numbers for your search, you can use a date range based on the date the case was received by your CAC.
Enter the start date in mm/dd/yyyy format or use the Calendar popup.
Enter the ending date in mm/dd/yyyy format or use the Calendar popup.
Click on “Search” at the top of the page.
