The People Search feature provides designated team members with the ability to search for people associated with cases.
The search results will provide the following details on each person:
• Alias indicator (checked box if the name is an alias)
• CAC Case Number
• Role on Case
• Date of Birth
• Social Security Number (if known)
• Person ID – only for those CACs who have a Data Provider sending information via the internet directly to NCAtrak from another computer system.
Click on the “Search” dropdown arrow on the left hand side menu in NCAtrak and select “Person.”

NOTE: Your access to case/people data is determined by the Case/People Access privileges granted to you by your CAC’s NCAtrak Security Officer. A message will display at the top of the page telling you if your access is limited in any way. Contact your local CAC Security Officer if you need assistance.
Search a Person
Enter a single search criterion by typing into one of the fields.
Click the “Search” button.
Figure 2. Search person data fields
Results matching the criterion you used will display in a table below the fields.

NOTE: The search is not case-sensitive. For example, entering “cathy” will find “Cathy” as well as “CATHY”. But spaces and other characters embedded within the name must be entered exactly to be found such as hyphenated last names like “Smith-Cline”. Alternatively, you could enter “Smith” only and get a list of all persons with last names beginning with “Smith” including someone with a last name of “Smith-Cline”.
View Person or Case Information after a Search
There are two options for viewing person/case information after the search results are displayed:
• Click on the Person’s Name to see the Personal Profile page of the person.
• Click on the CAC Case Number to access the General Tab.
